Ruhof Biocide® is the safest Quaternary Germicide for cleaning, disinfecting and deodorizing any hard, non-porous surface. Ruhof Biocide® is Bactericidal, Virucidal, Fungicidal, non-corrosive and does not have an overpowering smell. Perfect for use on glazed tile (bathtubs, sinks, showers), walls and furniture (examining tables, chairs, cabinets, bed springs), medical equipment cables and wires. Ruhof Biocide® is effective for cleaning and deodorizing garbage cans and garbage storage areas. Also can be used to pre-clean and decontaminate critical or semi-critical medical devices prior to sterilization or high-level disinfection. Controls mold and mildew.
When used as directed, Ruhof Biocide is effective as a:
Bactericidal against Mycobacterium tuberculosis (BCG) at 20 degrees centigrade. Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella Choleraesuis, Escherichia coli, Escherichia coli 0157:H7, Listeria monocytogenes, Yersinia enterocolitica, Enterococcus faecium, Cornyebacterium ammoniagenes, Salmonella typhi. Ruhof Biocide meets the requirements for hospital use.
Virucidal. Ruhof Biocide, when used on hard, non-porous inanimate surfaces kills the HIV-1 Virus (Associated with AIDS), Hepatitis B Virus (HBV), Hepatitis C Virus (HCV), Hepatitis A Virus (HAV), Poliovirus Type 1, Canine Parvovirus, and Bovine Viral Diarrhoea Virus (BVDV).
Antibiotic-Resistant Strains of - Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Vancomycin resistant Enterococcus faecalis (VRE), Vancomycin intermediate resistant Staphylococcus aureus (VISA)
Fungicidal. Ruhof Biocide is effective against Tricophyton mentagrophytes (Athletes Foot Fungus).
Mildewstat. Controls mould and mildew on pre-cleaned, hard, non-porous surfaces. Simply spray area to be treated with Ruhof Biocide, making sure to wet completely. Let air-dry. Repeat application at weekly intervals or when mildew growth appears.
Clostridium difficile. This product exhibits effective disinfectant activity against Clostridium difficile vegetative form, ATCC 9689, when the treated surface is allowed to remain wet for 1 minute (60 Seconds).
INSTRUCTIONS: Hold container six to eight inches from surface to be treated. Spray area until it is covered with the solution. Allow product to penetrate and remain wet for 10 minutes or one minute for Clostridium difficile. No scrubbing is necessary. Wipe off with a clean cloth, mop, or sponge. The product will not leave grit or soap scum.
